Confession

Okay so I might shock some of you or you might think this is a crime but I had never been to Starbucks. I do not like coffee (I realize there are other things there) and I did not need something else to have an addiction to. So the other day one of my classes and I were having a conversation about me having never been to Starbucks and they of course were shocked. One of my students got me a gift card for there and yesterday when John wanted to go to Target I used my gift card while waiting on him. My students recommended I try the White Chocolate mocha. Since it is Christmas time I decided to go with the Peppermint White Chocolate mocha. So not impressed. I wasn't real thrilled with it. I don't know if it was the peppermint or the mocha but I did not care too much for it. I still have a little bit on my card so I am sure I will try again. Any other suggestions on what to try?

I have only been once and it was enough for me. I wasn't impressed either and I like coffee! I would rather to to Panera and get a iced coffee and one of their delicious danishes! Yummy! Since you have a little on your card you might try one of the iced concoctions even though it is winter.

Jennifer, usually when i get something from Starbucks i have to add one splenda to it to make it sweeter. It just never seems quite sweet enough. But I like the white chocolate mocha(with a splenda added, and yuck on the peppermint. That doesn't sound good. Also the gingerbread latte is great and you can order a size small. They don't show size small on the menu but you can get it. I just can't drink a tall one by myself. So try the gingerbread latte, small with one splenda in it.

starbucks is so over-rated. i'm an Ugly Mug fan, myself, BUT...the chai is good at the Bucks. i like it iced or warm! (it's like 99% caffeine free)

I am not a coffee person either. And Starbuck's seems to be the teacher gift of choice. Perhaps we non-coffee teachers should drop not-so-subtle hints as Xmas approaches (not to sound ungrateful). Someone suggested the Caramel cider, but that may be only in the fall. I like the hot chocolate, and I think they can make those white mochas in hot chocolate form. Otherwise, go for the bakery items. And try the choco-elixers at Godiva. Now that's tasty!
