Dream Along with Mickey

After the Move it, Shake it, Celebrate it street party we just stayed by the castle to watch the Dream Along with Mickey show on the castle stage. They also play this several times a day.

Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It

They have a block party type parade that happens 3 times a day at Magic Kingdom (or at least it was 3 times the day we were there). The characters come out and dance with the kids in the street.

Dancing in the street with Baloo

"come on let me see you shake your tail feathers!" (though Kaitlyn tried to act like she was too cool to dance with the characters, see her in the corner of the photo)

Magic Kingdom (day 2)

Monday morning we got up pretty early so that we could be at Magic Kingdom when it opened.
We had a front seat on the bus so I was able to snap this picture:

We saw the opening ceremony (at about 8:50), it is really good. All the parks have some kind of opening thing but Magic Kingdoms is by far the best and a must see at least once.

We went straight to Tomorrowland to ride Space Mountain. I knew my kids would like this ride and it is one that the line gets pretty long as the day progresses.

Then we rode the Buzz Lightyear ride

And met space Chip and Dale (we saw these characters out and about more than any other characters while we were there)

Indy Speedway

inside Minnie's house

inside Mickey's house

Goofy's barnstormer (I made them sit behind me just so I could take this picture, HA!)

trying to pull out the sword in the stone (we were unsuccessful)

We were in line for Jessie and she had to leave for a minute to go check on Bullseye. When she returned (about 3-4 minutes later) she brought Woody with her. We were so excited!

Here is how our day went today:

Characters at Epcot

Meeting bunches of characters was high on our list of things we wanted to do. I kept asking Kyle which characters he wanted to meet most (because I knew we would not have time nor be able to meet them all) and he would say 'all of them'. I think we ended up meeting about 50 characters during our week. Kyle has 40 autographs and Kaitlyn has 38 (the reason why she has two less will come out in a later post), plus we met several characters who didn't sign.

Stitch was the first character we met at the entrance of Epcot.

They really got into posing funny with the characters (as you will see), especially Kyle.

I had studied this website: WDWcharacterhunt like a book. It was VERY helpful. We met the most at Epcot. Several of them were out in the countries.

We met Mary Poppins in the United Kingdom, Kyle asked her if she could say Supercalifragilisticexpialdocious backwards and she did. Then she said "my aren't you two precocious". Then she asked them if they could help her with a game. She gave them a paper dragon cut out and wrote 'tag your it' on it. She told them to give it to Aladdin and Jasmine over in Morocco. However when we got there their line was closed and they weren't coming out for another couple of hours so we never got back around there.

Mulan in China

And Duffy the Disney bear (who they are really marketing these days) at the end of the World Showcase trail.

After we ate dinner we went over to the Epcot Character spot. We probably waited in line for about 30 minutes but they have Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald and Goody right in a row. So it was worth it. Plus at this particular location I had the kids pictures made separately. I knew we would see all of these characters again at some point for me to get together pictures.
