ripley waterpark

We drove to Ripley yesterday to go to this waterpark we had heard about. It only cost $7 a person and has a big twisty slide. It was worth a drive and the money so we said next year we will try to go at least twice. Susan and I took all 7 of the cousins.

The big kids went down the big slide several times, I think Kyle went down about 30 times. 

I even went down about 5 times, I would have gone more if there was an elevator to the top

the only bad part is there is zero shade, so despite putting on sunscreen and even reapplying we all came home red as ripley tomatoes

riverboat ride

On Friday I took Kyle on a riverboat ride downtown, Kaitlyn decided last minute that she didn't want to go so she missed out on the fun (and saved me some money). We went with our friends the Paulo's.

summer fun week 8

We did several more things on our list this week. We only have one week left before I go back to work. :(

We made rice krispy treat suckers dipped in chocolate

went to Incredible Pizza

Kyle went to Ryan's birthday party at Skyzone

we made milkshakes

and put the bulletins out in the pews at church (July is our month)

We also went on a riverboat ride downtown but that deserves its own post!

Summer fun week 7

Here is some other fun stuff we did this week. We are quickly running out of summer! Only two weeks left. :(


Kaitlyn left on Sunday for church camp, this is her 4th year to go. She loves it!

I took Kyle to the eye doctor, he sees fine (really well actually)

We went to see Brave with Jade and Peyton

We went to the zoo with Will. They fed the giraffe (they have really long nasty tongues), played in the water, and watched the sea lion show. 

There is a great story behind Will and Kyle climbing in this tree. 

We went to the children's museum on  Thursday with Eli.

Big Backyard

While Kaitlyn is away at church camp this week I am taking Kyle to do some fun stuff to keep him busy.
On Tuesday we went to the big backyard with Jade, Peyton, Ashley, Cohen and Aaliyah. The weather was nice and other than about 3 other families we were the only people there.

Tie Dye shirts

One thing on our Summer fun list is to tie dye t-shirts. We tried that and it went pretty well. So well actually that I bought more tie-dye and shirts so we can do it again!
