Redbirds game

Luke got tickets through his work for the Redbirds game so he invited us to go with them last night. They were suite tickets so even though it was a thousand degrees outside we had some air conditioning so it wasn't that bad. And the Redbirds won!

Art camp

Kaitlyn went to Art camp this summer at St. Benedict. I haven't posted the pics of the stuff she made yet so here is some of the projects. She had a lot of fun and wants to go back again.

First day of school

Well today was the first day of school. Kaitlyn is starting the 5th grade. Here she is with her teacher, Mrs. Worley, from registration last week.

Kyle is starting the 1st grade. Here he is with his teacher, Mrs. Neyman, from registration last week.

Since I am a teacher I don't get to go to the first day of school and do all the fun pictures you will see others uploading on facebook. I did go to both of the kids first days of Kindergarten but that is it. So I woke them up before I left (at 6:00) and got them dressed so I could take their pictures. Then they went back to sleep with John. He got up and took them to school. He even walked Kyle to class.

Magic Springs again

We decided to go use our season passes for Magic Springs one more time even though it is not our favorite of the parks we have been to. However it is the closest as far as driving distances go, we really wish Six Flags was closer because that is our favorite.

So the four of us with Luke, Susan and Ashley drove up (or over I guess) just for the day. It was really really hot and super crowded but we still managed to enjoy ourselves.

Water balloons

The kids beg me for water balloons every time we see them at the store. It is not that I don't want to buy the balloons or that I don't want them to have them. I just don't want to have to stand outside and fill them up and then tie all of them. Kaitlyn got a dollar for something she did so she wanted to buy some water balloons. I finally said okay. So I filled up only about 30 of them (because I had sweat running all over me in the 15 minutes it took for me to fill these up) and they had a blast. Well a blast for about 15 minutes, cuz they don't last long.
